AGBADO OKE-ODO LCDA CHAIRMAN ISHOLA HOLDS INAUGURAL MEETING, TASKS MANAGEMENT, NULGE ON UNITY AND SERVICE DELIVERY




The newly sworn-in Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Alhaji Ishola Jimoh Abiodun, on Monday held his inaugural meeting with the council’s management staff, urging them to work together as a united family in the collective interest of the LCDA.

Addressing heads of departments and units during the meeting held at the council secretariat, Alhaji Ishola appealed for maximum cooperation and support, stressing the importance of teamwork in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Agbado Oke-Odo.

“I am committed to creating an enabling and conducive working environment that will allow every department function effectively and deliver on its mandate,” Ishola assured, while reiterating his readiness to reposition the council for improved service delivery.

In a show of camaraderie, the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Shobayo Yusua Kehinde, nicknamed the chairman “Imolede”, meaning “light has come,” signifying renewed hope and leadership.

The strategic session was led by the Council Manager, Mrs. Fregene Gbemisola, and the Council Treasurer, Mrs. Faoziat Ayodele Abdulsalam, with active participation from other departmental heads. The session identified critical areas requiring immediate intervention and realignment to enhance internal processes and governance outcomes.

In continuation of the day's engagements, Alhaji Ishola, alongside his deputy, also received the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA Branch. The meeting focused on strengthening staff productivity and promoting harmonious industrial relations.

NULGE Chairman, Comrade Tajudeen Olowolagba, pledged the union’s unwavering support, assuring the chairman of staff cooperation in the implementation of policies and programmes that would move the LCDA forward.
